Alisha and Tim Michaud both have full-time jobs. They saved enough money to purchase 140 acres of farm ground near Pine Bluffs, and in their spare time started growing alfalfa, gardening, beekeeping, planting an orchard and vineyard, and raising farm animals.
“Neither one of us have agriculture backgrounds, but we really got the bug for farm work,” Tim says. “We absolutely fell in love with it.” In 2016 they planted apples, pears and plums; in 2019, a one-acre vineyard of cold-hardy Itasca and Frontenac grapes.
